What this site is
My Color Palette Generator is a small set of free color tools for designers, developers, students and anyone choosing colors: a color palette generator, a random color generator, a HEX color picker, a HEX to RGB converter, a WCAG contrast checker, a palette from image extractor, a CSS gradient generator and a word cloud generator.
How it works
- Every tool runs in your browser with plain JavaScript. There is no account and no sign-up.
- Your palettes and settings are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only.
- Images you use with the palette-from-image tool are processed on the page and never uploaded.
- The site loads no third-party scripts, ads or analytics.
Accuracy
Color conversions use the standard sRGB formulas for HEX, RGB and HSL. Contrast ratios use the WCAG 2 relative-luminance formula. Results are rounded to whole numbers (HSL) or two decimals (contrast). The contrast checker tests color pairs only; it is not a full accessibility audit.
